September was a very special month at the BAER headquarters. For the first time, we headed off to Hanover for EMO, the world's largest trade fair for metalworking. Before we could start, a lot of planning, preparation and organization had to be done. A lot of stress, but it was worth it! On September 18, EMO opened its doors to exhibitors and trade visitors from all over the world. Six turbulent days later, we were exhausted but full of wonderful impressions and experiences - and can draw a thoroughly positive conclusion.
The EMO is a trade fair of superlatives. That becomes clear as soon as you arrive. The exhibition center in Hanover is one of the largest in the world and, with its huge halls and extensive outdoor area, almost looks like a small city. The 24 exhibition halls with a total area of an impressive 392,453 m² were fully utilized. Around 92,000 trade visitors strolled through the aisles between September 18 and 23 and were shown innovations from the metalworking sector by 1,850 exhibitors.
EMO presented itself as a thoroughly international event. Exhibitors from 45 different countries met trade visitors from as many as 130 countries. No wonder the trade fair easily lives up to its claim of being a catalyst for innovation. Sustainability, digitalization and automation were the major topics discussed at the stands and at numerous events. In an incomparable way, this created an inspiring atmosphere that certainly gave rise to some forward-looking ideas.
And BAERwas right in the middle of it all! With our stand in Hall 4, we were in the best of company. Surrounded by stands from other well-known tap manufacturers, we were able to immerse ourselves for six days in a microcosm in which everything revolved around thread machining. Countless trade visitors and interested parties found their way to us and enthusiastically engaged in a fruitful dialog. We were able to present innovations, answer questions and talk shop to our heart's content. The time just flew by!
Even though many situations can now be handled by telephone or video call, direct customer contact and the lively exchange with colleagues is and remains unsurpassed. We were therefore delighted that the constant influx of interested visitors continued even after several days at the trade fair. Even some influencers found their way to us, which made us particularly enthusiastic. After all, we at BAER always keep an eye on trends and innovations and also like to use channels such as Instagram and TikTok ourselves to stay in touch with the community.
The rush at the BAER stand was actually so enormous that we could hardly keep up! We would therefore like to take this opportunity to apologize to all those visitors for whom we were unable to take enough time. Of course, we will be happy to discuss your questions, plans and ideas with you after the EMO! Visitors to the BAER stand were particularly interested in the area of custom-made products. Many customers approached us with specific problems, looking for individual solutions that we can offer quickly and reliably. Our unbeatable delivery times of just a few days were the number one topic of conversation. Time is money, especially in industry. The faster production can continue with a customized solution from BAER, the better for the company. The overwhelmingly positive response to our BAER products and services gives us the certainty that we are on the right track with our company philosophy.
After six days at EMO in Hanover, it is now time for a summary. Everyone at BAERagrees that our first visit to the trade fair was a complete success. The dialog with trade visitors and other exhibitors really inspired us and was simply great fun. We couldn't have wished for a better start to our EMO and will definitely be back again next time.
